running 8 sets of rsds xover question

i need a practical answer please i have 8PAIRS of rsds going in my build is it possible to run 1 pair off 1 xover because fitting 8 xovers in each door is gonna be hard

would prefer to run 4xovers in each door but not sure if thats possible

I definitely can't say I know for sure, but last time I saw this done by someone they ran all of them

Just mount the crossovers in the back with the amps or run them active.

Yea... who says the crossovers have to be in the doors?? Actually it is probably better that they aren't in the doors because slamming the doors can damage them and especially water can damage them.

i use 2 sets of comps up front

4 crossovers

all crossovers are in the factory glovebox behind passenger seat

none in doors

Dont do it one pair of crossovers wouldnt handle the power. Mount the crossovers elsewhere.

impedance is important to how a passive crossover works. if you dont want to have 16 passives just go active and save yourself some time.

Hooking up multiple sets of speakers to one xover will change the impedance and the xover points.

ok well i guess they are going on the back of my wall or i might run them active

i might go active i could run midbasses off one sq4160 and all the tweets off another 4160

if i do go active i could series the midbasses and tweets in the door or would it be better to have a seperate wire for all mid/tweets

Why in the HELL are you running 8 sets of comps?!? Seriously? What are you hoping to achieve?

I'd wager that I could get louder mids and highs with less power with a total of 2-6 drivers in the front stage.

Overkill is an understatement, unless you are powering a shit ton of them off a huge fawking *** amp.

I think you should tone it down some and run 2 sets in each door and would do just as good if not better.

Also, if you want to not go active, then mount them in the back of the wall.

How many subs are you running?>
