rpm speaker whine

Not sure if this is the right place. But i was wondering what that thing is called that is used to get the whine in the speakers to stop. I believe its a wire i put on your rca cables. Any help?

have you tried fixing the probelm rather than masking it?

the part your looking for is a ground loop isolator

but try a new set of RCA's and regrounding the amp on the highs and see if you can fix it

I have one ground that hooks up to my batcap. It is connected to one of those ground bolt you but at an audio shop that you bolt to your frame. I think it is doing it because my rcas for my highs are next to all my power wires and batcap.

i tried it all and the only thing that fixed it was was grounding the rcas in the back of the hu

My bud had the same prob....bad in his sentra from his comps....he tried everything and what worked best (after all grounds checked or redone and rewiring everything completely separate) was the isolator. It was cheap and "masked" the problem quite well so might as well give it a shot.

Your problem is the rca's too close to power wires. See if you can keep them on the opposite side of the vehicle. If you are unable to, then they have some directional RCA's that may help. They have a wire set to pickup all noise and filter it back to a ground but make sure it doesn't connect into your amp.

I built a box in the back with my comp amp on it and inside the box is my batcap so i cant move the rcas away from the power... sounds like best bet without having to tear my car apart is isolator... Thanks all i will give it a try and see if it works.

power and rcas next to eachother isnt doing it. think about it. the whole car is powered. and your wires have insulation, your car doesnt.

might just need a better ground.

try running your HU ground to the same amp ground.

try turning the gains down if they are up a little high. mine start to whine with the gain under half way.
