Route for 0 gauge wire???

No through the front I can't find any even if they are small I was going to make it fit lol. I'm not trying to go under the car Bc I have no way to get it off the ground high enough for me
No idea where in the front btw... I even went to Harbor Freight just for this on my install.. I had too much wire to try to stuff under the carpet... bought a jack/stands.

I grounded amp to back passenger seatbelt is that good?

IDK... I drilled new holes and used stainless hardware to bolt to clean metal... those seatbelts are solid I'm sure but factory uses who knows what to stop corrosion.

Has anybody ever ran 0 gauge wire through a Volkswagen Passat? If so what's the best route for it and the least amount of cutting. Help!?!?
We found one existing unused hole in the firewall sheet metal of my 2006 Grand Caravan and ran 0 AWG under the driver's side carpet and I have Weathertech floor mat liners which are VERY nice and Made In USA!!

John Kuthe...

No. Typically you want a chassis to terminal/bolt type ground...bare metal to bare metal. Seat belt bolts are generally a bad idea, is kinda good but sometimes seat belt bolts aren't necessarily grounded.

What...in thee phuck does Weathertech floor liners have to do with running 1/0 gauge wire thru a goddam firewall you leaf driving anorexic stupidass mutherfucker????

The grommets I was talking about were in the spare wheel well. This is in my 08 Jetta.

I would break out an angle grinder or the biggest drill bit you have and cut some metal.

Assuming your car is similar to mine... run the wire on the driver side because the gas tank and exhaust take up most of the passenger side.

There are A LOT of zip tie points to hold the wire but you'll have to jack the car up a bit to get to those points.

There was a large opening behind the driver side rear wheel well and thats where I ran all my wire. Fairly easy to cut into from the inside of the trunk and run it from the outside.

Alright, this is all I have for pics on the wire.

This is where I ran my two power runs from the front battery.

There is an opening where I ran them and there was existing loomed wire than i just zip tied the two runs to.

From there you just tuck the wire where you can, zip tie, secure it, whatever.

All the way to the back.

Then if you can see at the bottom right that little bit of carpet that is cut, thats where I cut into the metal and ran the wire.

I can't really get any more pictures from the trunk because these were taken when I was installing and the box isn't getting taken out.

I can get pics of the ran thats ran under the car if you want.

Let me know dude I'll help you the best I can.

Well the engine bay in the Passat has the battery right in the middle of the thing so I'm guessing it's going to be different than your can and I'll have to update you guys on Monday Bc I go on vacation tomorrow and won't be back till Sunday. Maybe a couple of pics under your car will help not completely sure

For that large of a wire run it under the car I would use the rubber covered wire clamps and self tappers if I was doing it.. zip ties will work for sure but they get brittle so use the real heavy ones & a lot of them.. the last time I ran 4 gauge in a little car along with rca cables & remote wire I could barely get the carpet to go back to where it needed tto be

Can a 1/0 wire make thru a garden hose? If so, problem solved.

Mine did... may depend on the manufacturer... IDK... I took a scrap piece to Harbor Freight, found one that it fit then lightly lubed it up and... voila!.. slid it in, then ran it under the truck next to the frame and zip tied it up with some HEAVY zip ties.
