Sticking with the AudioBahn A8000t amp and going with an audiobahn 15" excursion, I realized this is not the greatest, but I will be fine

found an audiopipe eye candy series for 122 shipped and amp wise a directed audio 1100d for 118 shipped its a refurb and at that price id go for it

sony just doesnt make "audiophile" equiptment...which most of this board is looking for or uses.....but for $50 shipped per woofer they dont make a bad system when your 16 and cant afford anything else

Nice box, but then again IMO prefab boxes ****. They are made very cheap as far as the seals and wood. If you do go prefab (which I recommend you dont) at least be sure it is 3/4" MDF.

There are many prefab boxes that DO **** on the performance side of things....meaning that you could extract much better performance out of the sub you're intending to use by going with a custom-built box over a prefab.
Some prefabs, however, are actually built like a tank and will last forever provided you don't expose it to extremes such as tossing them out of the bed of a pickup onto the freeway at 60mph or faster.

I bought a prefab box off of eBay over 2 years ago. It was a sealed, dual-chamber enclosure for a pair of 10s. The interior dimensions were what I wanted and it looked decent so I bought it. It lived in three different cars and now serves HT duty in the house.

Aside from the vinyl covering needing a bit of attention in a couple of spots the box itself is just fine. Solid as an oak - still airtight - and works for what I wanted it to do. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

I was also looking at the Directed 1100d amp from Ikesound, I am think on picking up a couple for the price.

Anymore. The Mobile ES gear was some of the nicest stuff I have ever listened to.
