Nice box, but then again IMO prefab boxes ****. They are made very cheap as far as the seals and wood. If you do go prefab (which I recommend you dont) at least be sure it is 3/4" MDF.

How much you paying for the box? Be very carefull with prefab boxes they will eventually fall apart because of the sorry a** construction of them. I made the biggest mistake a while back, got lazy and bought one after about 3 months of use it was all loose making all kinds of noises.

I don't think I will buy it. I will need to ask some on how should I make the dimensions and where and how should I vent/port it?

Have you ever built a box before? It is fairly easy to do, just mathematics and patience. If you do ported or vented it does a bit complicated on the tuning, I had Moe Lester send me some plans on how to build one of this sort it only cost a few bucks for the plans.

Have you ever built a box before? It is fairly easy to do, just mathematics and patience. If you do ported or vented it does a bit complicated on the tuning, I had Moe Lester send me some plans on how to build one of this sort it only cost a few bucks for the plans.

nope never built one before. I can probably search the net and find out how to build a good one.

In all actuality Sony has built some pretty incredible head units. As I am not privy to the conversations that occur in the boardrooms where seemingly important people make big $$$ decisions about the direction a certain division of a huge corporation is going I do not know what happened with the Xplod gear. I simply don't.

But to judge an entire company (as well as it's solid presence in aftermarket mobile audio history) on a single product line isn't particularly reasonable.

I dont know either what happened with xplode crap. I like sony, matter of fact all my audio/visual in my room is sony.
