rl-i 8 owners a little help

ok, i searched and saw that hotcarl put 1000 watts to this 8? I want one of these rl-i 8's, and my amp is a 1000 watt US amp. will this sub handle it with a lower tuning? (28-30hz).

i put like 300 to it.

it will take the 1000, i just wouldnt run it like that daily.

id say 200 - 600 is good for daily.

I have mine sealed right now at .4cu and the are getting 400w each and they sound real nice.

my rl-i 8er is pounding away in a 0.7 ft^3 net enclosure tuned to 24hz, powered off of a 300W bash amp. if i were to do it all over again, however, i'd bump the tuning frequency up a tad and i'd upgrade to the 500W bash plate amp over the 300W version since you're never going to be turning the amp level to the MAX. headroom is a wonderful thing. the little beast has done nothing less than impress any of my friends who have heard it.
