RF interference in front speakers

Hey -

after I installed my Tantrum 500.2 for my front coaxials, I'm getting earsplitting interference between my two-way radios and the speakers when the amp is powered - which really isn't surprising...the new run of speaker wire acts like a perfect antenna for picking up all this energy.

I doubt anyone here has had a problem like this, but I figured it was worth a try...I was thinking of adding ferrite beads to both ends of the speaker cables.

That might work, you could try some pro audio speaker cable too. That stuff is sheilded out the ace.

look for monster cable....very spendy but shielded very well...shouldnt have the problems with interferrence.
