I am trying to find a way to make my re8 svc 4ohm so I can run it in my house. My amp only goes to 4ohm and the sub is 2ohm.

I was wondering if I could wire resistors in line to make it read 4ohm to the amp. If so what kind?

It will be seeing about 150rms

Any help is very appreciated. Thanks

You will burn out the resistor. I dont know where you can get one to handle that kind of power. The biggest I have seen is like 10w. But with some research you may find something bigger.

They make dummy resistors for this... There kinda expensive, and they still take half the power your amp puts out, and covert it to heat...
Do they work well?

And yes I mean to make my 2ohm sub 4 ohm

Its for a setup where I only want to run one. I have 2 more but I dont want to use them in this setup

even if u did put it inline with a sub, the ohm load might drop but you wont see all that power dedicated to the sub itself.. cuz if you have a resistor inline its going to see voltage drop which means it will use some current too so this would defeat the whole purpose... just cuz an amp puts out 1000 watts at 2 ohm doesnt mean a sub will recieve all 1000 watts to itself.. the power would be divided amongst the sub and the resisitor..
