pics.

did some better wiring. gotta fix a few things up and rerun rca\remote. and i aslo have to get my H701 in the mail and replace the crossfire 5 way xover. but it aint too bad. not the final install. but better than wires hangin all over the place //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

dont mind the extra wire, didnt want to cut up my wire until i install the h701 and everything. im going to make the RCA's custom length and resolder them all once the processor gets in the car. but for now i just coiled em up so i dont waste my wire.

gonna end up cuttin the top out to have the amps show through the wood. may use plexi to cover em up. but for now its nice to have a good place to put the groceries lol.

did you read?

thats not it.

i said that its temporary until i get my 701 and then i can do it up nice.

i plan on using those little spark plug engine holder things to make the wires look purdy. and some nice wire sleeving and shit.

it will be purdy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

For starters you can start by cleaning up that mess and building a real box!

Someone's gotta give you shit... you havn't done anything wrong just yet. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

your doing nice work no doubt,

but,

ive done IB before and i can see a problem with what your doing.

useing foam strips between your beautiful new shelf and your origional vw plastic shelf supports and the rear seats wont work well,

because,

when you get any kind of serious volume going you will start to move serious air, that air will force its way to wherever it wants to go, anyway it can, any how, by any means,

= complete loss of sq and SPL.

you install will sound absolutely beautiful up to about (im guessing here) 110 db after that volume the air WILL do what its best at.......... escape.

if i am misunerstanding your pictures then ignore this post,

but if im right, and you want the sq only an IB install can provide, AND, some good spl,

YOU HAVE TO SEAL EVERYTHING AND SECURE EVERYTHING TO EVERYTHING COMPLETELY.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

or air will escape and you will be bitterly dissapointed about the amount of time and love you put into this install.

i have $100 here, sais a single 10" sub in a sealed box will actually be more satisfying overall than what your doing if you dont seal the chite outta everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

but if you got all these points coverd 'fugedabawdit'

ive got some more work to seal it all up no doubt.

but it will be sealed up quite nicely. i can assure you of that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks for the tips, i am not planning on any kind of SPL you know. i usually listen at moderate levels so its not a huge problem, but im gonna seal it up tight lol.

i seriously might cut a hole in the bed and make it sort of an water tight gortex membrane to help vent the air and loosen up some of that pressure. so that will prolly work out a bit.
