replace type-r?

I have a Alpine Type-R 12 in a ported box and am thinking of getting a new sub. I thought about the RE SE 12 but they dont make them in dual 2 ohm voice coils (**** it!). Now I am thinking about a Diamond M6 mark 2 12. I know this will give better sq but will I be giving up SPL??? Also, any other good subs around the $200 price range?

how much airspace you have in that box?? also, how much power are you running (amplifier make/model)...

are you wanting... mainly SQ with a side of SPL, or are you wanting SPL, with just a tad of SQ???

sorry guys, the box is 1.5 cu ft tuned to 38 hz, the amp is an Orion HCCA 225r that is 400 wrms and I want more sq than spl.
