Replace Comp VR 12's?

Right now I have 2 05 12" Comp Vr's in 4.5 cube ported box, it is powered by a Profile AP 2000 thats rated for 960 watts @ 4ohm. I have been searching these forums a lot and cannot get a good comparison between my Comp Vr's and other subs. I want it to be a lot louder with a decent SQ. The box can't be much more than 5 cubes. I want to keep the amp for the new sub(s). These are the subs I have been considering.

2 ED 16kv.2

1 AA Avalanche 15

1 AA Avalanche 18 (Don't know if I have enough room)

1 RL-P 15

1 15" L7

I am also open to other options as well. I really just want a lot louder. How will these subs compare to my Comp VR's.

try 2 kicker comps 15" that will do the trick.

You can try two Pioneer TS-W3004SPL's... Yes theyre loud... not sure exactly how they compare wtih the compVR's, but they can handle 2x the power

I was thinking that but the 16kv.2's have a longer xmax. I was wondering if they would also be louder than the 2 15" Comp Vr's.

greater xmax doesn't necessarily make subs louder. I believe the kv's are SQ subs

but remember, you need the power to use that Xmax...if you get a sub that handles more power and has more xmax, you may also need to upgrade your amp to get that full investment out of it...

I could get another amp. The only think keeping me back is getting decent money for the old one. I was also thinking of 2 15" L5's but I would have to get another amp and a 6 cube box minimum is kind of big.
