Recone Advice (PSI P3)

I have a PSI Platform 3 motor and 18" basket. I need to have it reconed or get a drop in kit. I don't know that much about the can/cannot's of reconing subs. I have a 5.5ft^3 box tuned to 34Hz. I want to use either DC or Sundown parts, but don't know if that's feasible. I want it to perform similar to a DC XL or sundown X/Z. Not even sure what questions I need to ask. Haha. So, any help or input would be appreciated.

No, it won't be the same as a DC XL or Sundown Z.

Sundown may do the recone for you, but why not just buy a new sub? The recone will be expensive and that isn't the biggest motor. Just get a Z from the next Yardsale

That is something I'm considering. I just wanted to look into this before doing anything. I know it isn't an insanely large motor or anything, but I do already have it, so it's got that going for it. Thanks though, I'll email them tonight.
