Sundown xv3 18 recone spider adapter

So does anyone know anything about how you are supposed to mount the 11inch spider adapter on the tooled frames. The thread is m4×.70 bit the hole on the spider ring is almost a 1/4 wide. I'm assuming they need to be flush mount or recessed. Only problem with recessed is unless it's just pressure fit, the hole is one diameter all the way thru. And this is where you will be gluing the spider now. I am currently turning xv315 into 18 and don't have a complete sub to look at. Thanks in advance

While awaiting a response with someone with experience, perhaps post a few photos of your spider / basket / adapter ring. I've taken apart an X 18 "v2", but no experience with the v3 to know if it is the same or not.

The v2 had lots of glue holding the spider / adapter spacer ring down, no screws when I dissected one, the v3 may have changed, I really don't know. If you post photos of yours / parts, it may help people answer, and also help people in the future.

Not sure if it is is similar or not.
