they check the serial numbers, trust me JL tracks their products like no other. when you call they will ask for the serial number and when you give it to them, they will say something like, sorry but we cant recone it for you, its against our policy

Go to your kitchen take $450 and throw it away,,, same thing your doing and will save you a lot of hassle. http://www.audiosavings.com has 12" XXX's for like $490 new. Sell the blown W7 and 1000/1 and gew a XXX

Yes you guys r prolly right about the RE. I just checked them out. They loooked like great subs. I don't want to go over 1000 watts for sub though because I don't want to go that car audio crazy. I don't want to get another battery/alternator. I just want the basic set up. I already have the JL 1000/1 and a RF 400-4

you can run that jl amp with other subs...... get a Q and run 1k to it.
