So a recone is 600 bucks???? Thats really dumb. EBAY has new ones for 630!

I know next to nothing about JL so no.

You send in your W7, they cut out the softparts, and drop in a new set(new cone/spider/coil/surround), then mail it back.

I guess you have to decide if that cost is worth it to tell your friends that you have a W7?

$450 for a recone is beyond ownage.

with that much money you can get an re xxx and have some left over, or save alittle more and get a dd9500

You'll blame yourself when you realize you paid more for a RECONE than you could pay for a driver that will perform very similarly.

Thats fine. I have about 475-500 available.
Is a recone basically a refurbished woofer? Mine has scratches aroudn the magnet and the metal where the coil is. I got it off ebay. It was a scam and paypal gave me money back and I got to keep woofer. It also has 3 rips in surround. Will all of that be pretty new looking when I get it back?

Also, do you guys think I will get this back by July 30. That is my 16th bday and I would like my system installed for that date.

Do not let anyone else recone the W7 but JL Audio of Florida. THey are the only people that can do it without you being charged with treason.

 

Also, if you bought the W7 unauthorized, and you send it in for a recone, you will be charged with TREASON and your W7 will be sent back to you without a recone and you have to pay the shipping back!!!
