Recommendation for tight subwoofer

Hello, everyone!

My boss today told me that he wanted a new sub woofer put in his car. (No, we're not an audio business haha) Basically, he told me he wanted the best 10" subwoofer he could get. Money does not matter for this guy, he has a Porsche 928 that he wants me to install a new sub woofer in. He basically said, "I want the tightest bass you can get, I want it tighter than a bull's *******. Doesn't matter how much it costs."

So give me a few recommendations, because that's way out of my range..

BTW, he hates "boomy, sloppy bass like the young kids have."

i'd vote jbl GTI MKII

only thing that sucks if you're running only one you can only have a final impedance of 3 ohms and finding a amp that puts out 700-1000 watts at that is gonna be more expensive

what ever sub you use, you probably want a sealed box. more accurate. and takes up less space.

Porsche 928 is a hell of a car, what year? They were well over $100k in 95.

SSA Icon, Fi Q, are a couple to look at. I think my Icons are really accurate and clear. I'm not really into any super high end stuff because I can't afford it. I'm sure you'll find some good reccomendations though from more experienced people than me.

One idea might be upgrading the mid-bass in his car. Lots of people call it "tight bass" and think of subs when really, clear and powerful mid-bass is what they are lacking.

x2 I know thats what my problem was in my last car. Lacked mid bass like crazy and thought it was becuase my subs sucked!
