Recievers that can run under 4ohm

I was wondering if any of you have stereos that rn under 4ohms. I have an old JVC reciever that can run down to 1ohm stereo. It was built back in 78 I think. It's 300 watts with a built in eq. I forgot what the model number is but I will try to look for it. I do see them on ebay once in a while.

Btw mine still works like a mothafvcker

my Decware Zen SE84 (EL84 pentodes, single-ended) loves 2 ohm loads...the output transformers are actually built for 2-4 ohm loads, which makes finding speakers a *****.

I feel you. When I was 15 I had multiple sizes of drivers and speakers in my room hooked up to my JVC. It made CircuitCity bass room sound like sh!t.

Dayton Refs are supposed to be coming out in 4ohm....sometime.

Scanspeaker Rev's can be had in 4ohm flava if you got some cash to spend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Vifa MG, PL and TC series are available in 4ohm. Some Morels and Max Fidelitys are available in 4ohm aswell.

many speakers can be wired to 4ohm, their are also plenty of 4ohm speakers out their. Why you ask, to get more power for the almighty dollar.

A lower impedance makes it easier to drive a load. I've got an amp that likes very low impedance speakers, because of its extremely low power and the way the output transformers are wound...therefore, I can't use 8 or 16 ohm speakers, it just wouldn't be able to produce that much power at higher impedances.

You can also use multiple subs by a Y adapter it's just a bass signal, not powered. Plus under 4 ohms?

i want a 1ohm receiver to hook my car subs up to. If i hook my amp up thats 1ohm too.
