RE SE or TYPE R 12"...need opinions now!

im on the verge of picking up a RE SE 12" for 155..i know i can get a type are for around 100...

is the 55$ worth it to get the SE?

and will the SE handle the 850 Watts i have for it?

There both very close spl wise. But sq wise, an RE SE would murder it. And yes, 850w would be fine, just watch your gains.

NOW BUY MY SUB! lol.

I've got 3 SE 10" on the way. I'm going to seal them and run about 700-750 to each. I've never heard them before so we'll see.

I have owned both and the R got quite a bit louder off the same power (900rms). I'm not a good judge of SQ but I couldn't tell a huge difference.

I have used the 10" SE and the 12" SE

I also had the 10" Type R (old school) as well as the 12' Type R (new ones)

The SE goes down lower and is a more musical subwoofer

The R gets louder
