RE MT...12s?

Ok, so im planing a new system. I was going to a wall with 2 RE MT 18s but I like the room to throw school books on the back seat. So what about the 12 inch versions? Pros, cons?

So basically the 12s are just as power hungry as the 18s and they can get nice and loud too.

i had it on a t40001bd in 2.75 at 40 hertz

Yeah, i wont be competing with them, but I still love the Spl

I run a 12" MT at 2.5 cu ft @ 35Hz. Believe it or not, I talked to the tech guy at RE Audio and he said that 2.5 cu ft was perfect for 2500W RMS and daily with a burp now and then for entertainment. The only real problem I have with the subwoofer is the terrible tinsel lead slap. It has weakened the tinsel leads and wore a grove into 4 spots on the woofer, and it makes some sound at certain tones and volumes. But it IS a 100% SPL designed woofer. I've seen some of the new SX's have a soft fabic where the leads could come in contact with the cone. Maybe the new MT's have the cloth too. I bought mine in 2005 before all the USAmps business, so I don't have it on mine.

I've got mine in 2.5 @ 28. It's one of my old Type-aRgh boxes. Powered by a IA 20.1 at .4 ohms. Sounds pretty good but def needs more port area. I really like it.
