Iv got a pair of SPL coiled (from sundown) SA12s on a SAZ-1500D @ 1ohm in a box thats beat to poo and to small for them. I only play music and the SPL coils have a 44Hz FS, so they unload fast at lower frequencies.. Here is my idea, re-coning with the super heavy copper D2 re-cone kits from SPL Audio. (Wiring the pair at .5ohm) taking out my back seat and building a very strong wall with plenty of breathing room for the subs. And doing a wood, or 6" Aero Port at 34Hz or lower depending on FS of the heavier coil.. The big question I have is, is this all worth it? or should I first get woofers with more motor strength (Zv.3s? or a TSNS motor lol) and move from there.. Any input at all would really help. Thanks!!
