Re-Coning and walling SA-12s Worth it?

Yea, it is walled off. His is huge now. We just redid it and it is now a 6th order with some "tweaks" to see what it can do. He is shooting for a 160 off of 1000rms. lol..he has huge dreams I must say.

I will ask. I know the answer to seeing the inside is a no. lol he is very over protective of his "baby".

That's awesome, good for him for dreaming so big haha, hope he makes it happen. Rabbit in your opinion, for space its a 95 LeSabre, and the entire trunk can be the box, would a 4th or 6th order be the best choice, done with a pair of 12's I might have jUSt enough space to make a proper box

i bet if you put the SA's in a good ported box you would be pleased and wont have to build a wall....

You know that is very possible, I don't know if you have seen the box they are in now.. But its.. "Lacking" to say the least, undersized, 2 4" Aeros at 34Hz but SPL coils are 44hz so DB peaks at 44 then unloads :| Considering a Re-Cone to SPL Audios Copper coils and a new box @ 34Hz with a single 6" Aero Port.. and maybe they wont need to face up any more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.. Meh all possibilities.. Just stuff to think about

I can see enough space for a decent 4th order, but I dont think you will have the volume required for a 6th though. Those are just far to large.

I hate getting plans together for this car.. Just rolled over to 208K miles, and building a custom 4th order for it scares the crap out of me. Because I don't know what I will do when its time to get a new car.
