RE Audio XXX12 review in Car Audio & Electronics

Still makes no sense they don't do more indepth review, what happens with more wattage, elss wattage, a ported box sq box...something.

why is everyone so doubtful,i knew the 06 xxx was bad ***,so its no surprise car audio magazine rated it highly,i mean **** give credit where credit is due.

im not trying to start a fight..but i thought all the hype was over the 05 xxx and the 06's werent nearly as good? thats the impression i got by how everyone was talking? 05's were straight groundpounders. 06's, not as good, catch on fire. whats up with that?

someone set me straight please.

...maybe it would have if they fed it more than half its RMS. They only gave it 400w

well really them guys dont care about how loud it gets,just how accurate it reproduces music,but they should have gave the si more power.

They quit selling manf direct and MSRP's were very high. Once people couldn't afford them they became overpriced. They are sort of like JL on this forum now, people say they are bad because they can't afford it.

hm. cool review. glad to see it did so well with sq.. there were a lot of people here who said they didnt find the sq to be anything special.

Hmmm, I was the first to review the woofer on all the forums (Thanks to David and RE). From the beginning to now, I still think it's an awesome sounding sub. Even worth the new retail.

148.x on 'lil Jon and 30 sec avg.

The optimal musical enclosure for the XXX is NOT a ported box, and if you think it is, you're an idiot. Optimal for that driver for musical purposes is definitely a big sealed box, and I'm happy to see that's what it was tested in. Why you'd be worried about output when you have that much displacement, even in a sealed box, is beyond me. Some people prefer bass with music in the background, personally, I like music.

Looks like a good review overall, nice to see they actually fed it sufficient power to see what it can do output wise.

As far as the comments about the Mag review, their main quip was that it didn't have that much output for the price, yet somehow they ignored the fact that they were only feeding it 400w while making that complaint in the review. Guess some of you overlooked/failed to understand that part. It did just fine for SQ in the review.

Yeah, Warbleed I hope you were not calling me an idiot, just because no doubt the XXX was ment to not only get very loud, but sound good doing it. And yes, I'm worried about output when your going against 2 15's ported in anything but a SQ competition, then hell, I like my Unmusical, ground pounding, power ******* ported box. Even then, it's musical enough and get's even louder.

To each his own, but IMO doesn't seem to be a woofer designed to just sound good, it's a woofer to get very loud and stay very accurate in it's reproduction.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
