"Impact" bass instead of "Loud"

sooo sealed is the setup then im looking for. Thought so but i wanted to clarify first. So SSA 10" in a sealed box. Still wondering though. which ohm if they both run at the same wattage.

And no i dont have the FI Q anymore, sold it on craigslist for 50$ (wish i knew about reconing)

That depends on the amp you are using..say for instance your amp max out @ 2 ohms then you will need the sub to be 2ohms for a SVC and a dual 4ohms sub to be wired down to 2 ohms to get max out amp

I don't have an amp yet, the amp will be based on the sub i get. and it looks like that SSA is what im getting. that price V specs/performance is insane

first off the tight kicking bass you are talking about has to do with the enclosure--SEALED will give you the quick tight kick you are looking for not so much the sub make sense?
a well designed low tuned ported box will have more of the punch that he is looking for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

a sealed enclosure will have a smoother response but will lack the output of a proper ported enclosure

The difference between the bass being loud and the bass you can feel has alot to do with the enclosure and the actual tone being played. From what you're describing, you enjoy powerful low notes. To accomplish powerful low notes, get a solid sub (plan on spending 150-250 dollars) and tune your box low (25-32hz).

you'll beat up those lows all day.

box can be 36"width x 17"height x 36"deep (was based off my sandel being 12" long haha)

the only thing that id have to say that is really changeable is the height, anywhere between 12-17" from what it looks like
