"Impact" bass instead of "Loud"

What sub would you guys say for this.

I like the kinda of bass that feels like some one is kicking the back side of your seat.

Iv noticed some people have a "Loud" bass which im not too fond of. While others have this "impact" feeling bass and i LOVE IT. my friends 13.5 JL /w 500/1 amp had that same "impact" feeling.

What would you guys suggest i get? i got around a 200-300 dollar budget (amp/sub combined)

a local dealer currently is selling a 10" xcite duel 4 ohm 600RMS sub for 40$ since he overstocked. Can't find much info on them.

Also whats the difference between running 600RMs @ 2 ohms or 4 ohms. Wouldnt the 4 ohm be faster reaction since its more resistance.

Thanks!

they are really nice for low powered subs. Honestly the best sounding and loudest "below 500 rms" sub i have ever heard. They are IMO a true low powered "SQL" sub. They seem to do well with every kind of music we throw at them whether its droning lows from some slowed rap or super fast kick drums from slayer. They do it all very nicely.

TBH, everything that ive tried that has been non main all has that Loudness you hear and mean lows. However all the JL's ive had you "feel" it but it doesn't sound as loud. if that makes any sense?

i have't heard a JL i could honestly say i liked. Never heard a w6 or w7 though. But i have heard my fair share of 0 , 1 , 3 , and even the slim tw5 13" and i have not been impressed with any of them.

i don't really like the company but i never talk down on something i haven't heard (unless it's obvious crap , IE pyramid , legacy , etc.) I may get to hear my first w7 tomorrow though. I got a guy coming to trade me a w7 10" for my 18 year old fosgate 15's. I'm getting it to sell , but if its nice enough i may just keep it.

Kick in the chest bass, thats what im talkin about. What would you guys call that?

4 ohm or 2 ohm if its the same RMS rating.

Been out of the loop since old FI Q got killed when my trunk bounced and the speaker ripped out of the wood. Woofer torn, magnets were making a grindng sounds when i moved the cone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif oh the heartbreak....

Depends on your amp and and how many speakers you plan to run.

not alot for only 2-300. If you want to feel like your getting kicked in theback need more money probly.. im sure you can get something to play well and sound good in that price range though.. depends on vehicle too. I might have not read it good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif

first off the tight kicking bass you are talking about has to do with the enclosure--SEALED will give you the quick tight kick you are looking for not so much the sub make sense?
