The screws themselves become stress risers when they are that close together, not necessarily add stress. They become a weak point //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifEDIT:: Also, next time you build a box (just for an FYI), put the screws AT LEAST 6-8" from each other. When you put a lot close together like that, it actually adds stress to the box.
shit i'm not suprised. i would have expected more then that to happen pushing that much boost. what compression pistons are you running?Yeah tell me about it, my blocks at the machine shop right now getting drill and tapped for 9/16" head bolts(stock is like 3/8"). No mater what I did the head just loved lifting and blowing headgaskets, probly blew 12 this season!!
I wouldve thrown some more boost at it to but I was maxing out my 2 bar map sensor
Running 8.5:1 Wisecos right now, but my heads milled so Im in the 9.3-.4 range. Yeah that was my main problem though, other than traction lol... spins em on the highway no problem, axles got expensive for the first bit til I just sprung for the stage 3 raxles. Best daily driver Ive ever had, even though I only drive it on the weekends and to the local races/showsshit i'm not suprised. i would have expected more then that to happen pushing that much boost. what compression pistons are you running?
