First question, does having more than one sub make it sound better? I hear if you get 2 subs in one box you gain about 3 Dbs

Now in b4 flame;

What sub will give me more 'boom' effect, like vibration/sound distance not DBs

I currently have 2 L5s 15" w/ 1000 Watt Amp, I wanna get more 'boom' out of a new sub(s) once they wear out.

I was thinking about getting a Solo X 18" w/ A Warhorse and tons of batteries, but I wanna know what will give me the most 'Boom' Effect, Its a 10,000 watt sub, so I think that is the best I am going to get?

How would this compare to my 2 15" L5s? What about say 2 L7 12"s or a bunch of 10s? Keep in mind I'm just talking about the 'boom' not Db.

Say my Current Amp runs the Solo X at 1,000 Amps, will this be any louder than my current subs?

A solo X 18 wont take 10,000 watts, ive heard it wont even take 5000 without needing a recone soon. At most id prob give it like 4k, and isnt the warhorse like a 9000$ amp?

1000watts isnt enuff for a solo x 18. What id do if u got the money which it sounds like you do since ur talking bout buying a warhorse.

Get like 4x Solo X 12s and 2x memphis 4kws...

If you wanna keep it cheaper (as the above is pretty **** pricey) try like 4x l7 12s..or 3-4 L7 15s if u can fit em, Id put around 1000 to a L7 12 each and maybe 1200 to a 15 l7.

Or you can just get like 2x DC level 5 15s..put about 5000 watts to em..

x2..solo x 18 + warhorse + tons of batteries = like 12,000$+

What you mean research, it is research, someone could answer these all before I could get my answers from google, I don't see much about the 'boom' effects just Dbs.

Well why do the advertise it taking up to 10,000 watts when it would be under warranty and just blow right away costing them more money?

The problem is your quesions are generalized and not very specific. If you way more "boom" than get bigger 15's and a big 3000 watt amp.

10,000 is its MAX watts..it will only take about 4k daily safely. Not gonna explain why kicker did what they did, i dont work for them. And they wont warranty a sub that is blown from putting too much watts to it.

Get 2x L7 15s and put 2500 watts to them. /thread

Subs and amps aren't everything either, a lot of it is how the box is built, quality, tuning, etc...

Won't the 18" Still produce more even if I'm running at 4K watts?

And what do you mean by daily safely? It ok to occasionally pump it at max?

Max, no. And it's hard to say if it will be louder, although I would think an 18 on 4k watts would be pretty **** loud but it depends on the vehicle it's going into as well. When he says safely he also means what the sub can take daily. The amount of electrical upgrades that had to be done too for a 4k watt system is also something hat needs to be taken into consideration. Also there are better 18's than the kicker Solo X (albeit a good sub itself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)
