I have a 1999 Camry. I have 2 Cerwin Vega 10's that I currently have in a temporary box. I am rebuilding the box, and I have some questions;
1) In my trunk, the 6x9s are located under the rear package shelf, with the bottom half of the speaker assembly ptotruding into the trunk. Now, I heard it was better to make a box for the 6x9's. However, the assembly of the shelf (2 support bars that are under the sheet metal RIGHT next to the screws) prohibits me from installing a box. I was thinking, should I just take the speakers out and install them in boxes in my trunk (maybe attached to the sub box, or seperate boxes)?
2) This is a question to someone who has installed Dynamat in a full sized car. WHen you are installing Dynamat in the trunk, on the rear package shelf, how do you go about installing it? Do you actually have to drop the package shelf, cuz that is a b&%$#, or can you simply apply it to the bare metal? Also, how long does a PROPER dynamat install take in a trunk? I ask because it is getting pretty friggin hot here in Phoenix, and I am like a god **** snowman.
Thanks for your time and expertice guys
