Questions for members with a JL 12w6v2 and 500/1 setup

Hey guys wassup,

I wanna know what people who own this set up think about it. DO you love your setup or are there things you wish you would have done different. Want the good to the bad. See I have no way of hearing it in my vehicle before I purchase it, cause the shop here doesnt even have one on display...so pretty much you all can help make or break my decision.

my friend had a 12w6v2 and a 500/1. The sound quality was great and it got loud. I loved the setup it was like crystal clear bass. IF u are thinking about the setup and can afford it go for it. i really like that setup

dude the 12w6v2 is a sweet speaker especially on the 500/1....but if you have a little more cash, the 13w6v2 makes the 12 look like a baby...

...if i could do it again with a single sub setup...it would be 13w6v2 on a 1000/1...the 13 takes all 1000 watts and kicks it back with a solid ***-kicking....port that bit

Thanks for the responses. Its good to know... I def have the room for the 13w6v2, but i have my heart set on the 12. and I do plan to port it.......

i have the 500/1 on two ma audio xls only puts out half the rms to each subs the subs could handle 500-600 rms each but **** still pound the shit out of my rearview mirror and moves my cloths //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Come on guys quit just looking.....if you have the setup in question tell me what you think about it....please, i have money in hand but i want some reviews before I buy them. Im goin on a trip next month then hooking my car up right after I come back....so please!!!!!

12w6v2 is not bad, however i'd get the 10w7 over the 12w6v2 all day anyday!

10w7 has more output and sounds better than the 12w6v2 & can handle more power (according to JL).....

put that 500.1 on a 10w7 ported and i'm sure you won't ask why again.
