Questions about upgrading.

So I've been wanting to upgrade for a little now, and was wondering the best way to go about it. I already understand the electrical upgrades I will have to make. So I'm just looking for the most cost effective way to get louder. Currently I have one American bass xrd2 running at 1400 before rise in a 2.25 net 35hz box. I have no idea what my numbers are, I just know I want louder

The only effective way to getting louder in your situation is either add more power or add more cone area or both. What vehicle will this be in? You could do things like fold down your back seats or building a bigger enclosure but it won't be as effective as doubling down on cone area or power. Swapping subs rarely gives you an increase in output unless you change some other factor. You could build a bandpass enclosure instead, which would save you the most money but would need to take up more space. Space makes bass. The more room you willing to sacrifice, the louder you'll get basically.

I'm in an 02 mustang. But I honestly don't care to take the back seats out, I was thinking 3 12s but the box design is where I'm mostly stuck
