Questions about DD Amps

Hiya y'all. I need a new 4 channel amp and was looking at the Digital Designs C5c amp. I'm wondering how its only 250 dollars, cause I thought DD products were supposed to be very expensive. Is this a good amp? And are these products still made in America?

I am new here and tried to search this but had no luck so I'd appreciate the help

Amps are from Korea. C5 is an ok amp overall.

Darn, the C5c is only ok? That's disappointing, I thought DD was supposed to have high end stuff. Well what would y'all recommend then for a four channel amp? Looking for around 100 watts rms at 4 ohms and 500 dollars is the highest I could go but cheaper options are definitely appreciated

the dd audio c5 is only an entry level amp. not much is in the case as its not etched and look at the imputs they went nack to the older style you need terminals to do the install . if you are looking for something that is high end you need to step up and they are steep . and i would say if your looking to be at 500 or less i dont think they have anything but the c5 unless you find a dealer that sells less than map price

honestly you cant go wrong with this amp.. im fimilar with the boards and parts and its probably the best value per power and SQ out there right now..

Id rather spend 250 on a used DD then 400 on a Crescendo anyday...

Not even gunna start that "well it has the same board design so they must be the same amp" argument...

Wow that crescendo amp looks almost too powerful for my needs. I don't know anything about crescendo though...are they solid amps?

Well what sort of High end are you talking? DD is by no means middle of the road equipment as far as quality and reliability so dont let that sway you from getting it... If you want pure SQ out of an amp though its probably not what your looking for...
