questions about amp experiences

well i had never had any encounters with the sundown amps, us amps, mmats amps, and zapco amps. what about these when talking about their class d 1 channel amps. whats the difference between each of these sellers. i see that people would trade their sundown amps for an us amp, but i still see others who would trade their us amps for a sundown amp. i don't completely understand and know which path to go to. i want an high end amp that puts out good power between 1000-1500 rms and does not have any issues or recalls. those of you that had been in this field testing high end amps for this long. what do you suggest?

i used to have a zapco reference 500.1 but it still not for me. my direct 2400 was my taste but i still had problems with it overheating and blowing on me. i don't know. what does people recommend. give me your advice and options.

What kind of problems were you having with the Zapco Reference?

Ive never had or known of anyone having problems with Zapco unless it was a shady install.

You mention that your direct 2400 amp got hot and blew? Are your speakers wired correctly?

If you are looking to just go spend money and buy new equipment then I cannot give you an un-biased opinion because I have only used Zapco.

May I suggest that you make sure everything else is in proper working order and wired correctly?

thanks for the advice...but have you used us amps or sundown amps before? how are they compared to zapco amps. i will definitely separate my setup wiring and figure an new setup.

Unfortunately I have never used those other brands. I can only speak of Zapco. I have no doubt that the others could possibly be as good, if not better than Zapco. I just have no experience with them.
