Q not getting THAT loud w/ BX1500d =(

I guess it varies. If you have 2v preouts like me, you kinda need to set it at +6/6 on the bass level. Only for that though.

As long as the signal isn't clipped, you can set it anywhere you want to.. but some yield better results than others //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well I set up my Q today and got it installed. I have the gain in between 1/2 and 3/4, bass boost off, and all the bass settings on 0 (-6 to 6 scales), and it's not that loud. I have to turn the bass settings on my HU up so I can get the output I want.
Whats the deal?
to set your gains rite u have to have your hu volume on 46 out of 62

and make sure all bass is off...u have a scale from -6 to +6 have the bass on -6..bass boost off...loudness off...and make sure u have a 50hz test tone recorded at 0db on tap and get a dmm to set your gains to the proper voltage..once u do that then u can do wat ever u want to do sound wise

I have done that.

But with the bass on -6, there is NO preout voltage for the sub-out.

Don't you mean +6 instead of -6?

Because if I turn it up, then it will raise the voltage going from the amp to the sub, which may cause clipping.

And my HU is set @ 47 for the gain setting.

I use 45hz, cuse I also use my bass boost. And 45hz is what it boosts at.

so you can raise it to +6 and not clip?

Wouldn't that mean there is no/low sub-out voltage?

Do you have a line out driver (epicenter)?

um 2 be honest i dont see a need to have it that high...i do have a epicenter but be4 i got that i still played my bass no higher than 0db

with my epicenter i still dont go higher than 0db...if i went higher the bass will overpower everything
