Hey all, I haven't been around for a while, but am back and need recommendations. I'm done with the nice little starter setup in my truck and want to put something together for my 91' Eclipse GSX. I really just want to know of places, besides ebay, that would be the cheapest to purchase the following. Any suggestions are appreciated also.

- Alpine V12 M-500 Mono amp

- Alpine HU CDA-9811(I don't feel I need the 9813 cause i'll have a 4-channel amp. Unless you can convince me otherwise)

- 2 Type-R's 10" in a sealed dual enclosure. 1021d's(2 ohm) not 41d's(4 ohm)

- Alpine F240(or is it maybe not enough?)

- Not sure on front speakers, but I'm thinking of Alpine components(what other brand, hehe) with the woofers down in the doors and tweeters up in the dash.

- I also can fit 6x9's in the rear unless there is a better size you would prefer.

I'd like to start with the Mono amp/subs/new front speakers first. I'm kinda starving for some bass right now and the after market stereo that I have in there right now will suffice for the time being.. Thanks guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nerd.gif.c6fa51ddf7ff75f1c0371fbc648f70ae.gif

forget the rear speakers (trust me for 20 bucks for a cd and a trip to a good car audio shop- if they have a comp car for sq- u will without a doubt see what i mean)

invest in some kick panels or if needed the best set to your ears front speakers you can get in your doors. the subs and amp combo is alright but i would lean a tad bit over to another amp. i know you want it to be all alpine but sometimes you can get "better" for less money. right now from what i see hifonics can be had at a really good price with alot more power and it would work just fine. just remember the "best price" means less than "best deal" you wanna make sure you get treated right with a warranty the zeb has the service issue well in hand as well as a great price match policy but no alpine for alpine i would suggest http://www.ikesound.com but i have heard of both good and bad since alpine isnt authorized

I've heard that alpine under rates their equipment. Would this make any difference? Would I have to custom fit 6.5's for the rear since the original sizes that fit in my rear spot are 5x7's and 6x9's? Would you be able to explain "kick panels"? I know how you're explaining sub/pricing, but I would really want to get the alpine amp just to make everything uniformal. But what else would you think could push those Alpines CLEANLY? They're only 350w rms each I believe. I don't want to go bigger, because I won't be able to fit anything in my hatch area. Thanks

If you really want to stick with Alpine, you are going to have a hard time finding some of that equipment for cheap anywhere, especially the amplifier.

Another suggestion for the amp would be a DEI Viper amplifier. They are very nice amps and on a huge sale at http://www.sounddomain.com.

There are quiete a few different models, but the mono 600.1 amp should match up very nicely with your subs. Also, would you be willing to get different types of subwoofers? There are better choices for around the same price range. (i.e. Elemental Designs). However, Alpine subs are still pretty nice for the money.
