Push my sub with two JL 1000's or one Orion 2500?

So there's absolutely no way to get the amps to send the EXACT same signals? Because it seems like if one amp was sending one voice coil one signal, and the other amp was sending the other voice coil another signal, that the sub would produce some sort of distortion or fight itself and not be as clean right? I don't understand how if the signal that is set on the 1st amp is just goin to the 2nd to be amplified and then sent to the sub's 2nd voice coil, where does it go out of wack? Am I missing something here? I'd love to go with 2 JL 1000's just cuz it would look amazing and the 1000 I have right now is treating me great, but if I'd have to sacrifice a good amount of sound quality with the dual setup, I'd definitly go with the 2500d.

i believe that with the JL's you still have to set the gain on the second amplifier.

Under #3 it talks about how the RCA outputs can be used as a pre amp output or a passthrough output. I don't fully know what it means down to the exact definititions but I'm almost positive it means one way you can just set up 2 amps and control each ones settings seperately, and the other way you can control multiple amps settings through just one amp. It specifically says in #3 that you can control multiple 500/1's with just the first amp on one of the modes.

yea, i ran two JL 500/1's like that for about six months, then i scrapped it.

you adjust the settings on the first amp, then daisy chain the second one. master and slave configuration, just how it sounds, amp 1 tells amp kunta kinte what to do. but i think you have to set the gain on the second amp iirc.

whyy'd you bail the 2 500/1's? were they just not workin out hooked up to eachother like that or did you just wanna upgrade to some better amps?

U already have 1 Jl1000/1 so it wouldnt be like 400-500 $ more.But im not exactly wut they go for either. If it was me i would sell the Jl 1000/1. And buy a Orion 2500d.

how would it not be 4-500 dollars more if i allready have one 1000/1? I don't understand what you're saying? I know that the 2500d would be more power and probably a more precise setup, but I just can't get over the fact of how nice it would look with the 3 JL amps all lined up lol. I dunno I can't make up my ****ing mind!

sell the jl and just buy you the wcc orion 2500d off of ebay for $450. then get you the 4004. also on the wcc logo ive heard you can take the wcc sticker off and the orion logo is underneath. they should match and look nice together. shoot you could sell you jl amps and buy 2 wcc 2500ds and the 400.4 prolly for cheaper then what the 2 jl 1000/1 and the other amp would cost you.

Haha I probably could sell both my amps and afford all that lol. Why the hell is JL so over priced?!?!?! Anyways, still lookin at my options now. Gotta get a new box, then the amp or amps, and then upgrade electrical right after I get the amps. Or a maybe right before. Who knows.
