Proper install LOC

I’m gonna admit I’m not that great at wiring.
I’m wondering the best way to wire in an active LOC. Let’s say like a Audio Control LC2I.
It’s going to be a sub woofer and amp install into a factory audio system. For a VW Passat. I’m keeping factory head until and speakers for now.

Would it be good to splice into the speaker wires that run to the rear doors? Then run to loc, amp, subs.

Should be just fine. That’s mostly what I’ve seen people use, rear speaker wires.

Depends on what year and model passat you have? Is it amplified?

rear speakers may not have your best signal

It’s a 2015 Passat limited.
