proper break in time for sub

i usually go easy on them for about 30 sec to make sure eveything is gonnna hold together, then i let it rip. a sub will usually loosen up a little after a few hours of use though. dont worry youre not going to hurt it or anything

i always break them in for a good period. rather be safe than sorry. right?

i usually take it easy for about a week, i progressively turn them up louder everyday. sometimes cant contain myself and i turn up the bass, but id rather have them losen up than blow them too soon. would be a huge waste of money, and i would regret it.

Woofers are, for that most part, factory tested before leaving. Once shes play after hooking her up and the wiring is correct, LET HER RIP. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with this.

When I had my 2 12" Rockford P2's installed in my car, the shop had the subs already going when they finished, and when I drove off after I just let them rip all the way home. Subs worked perfectly fine for the 6 months I had them, even after going through that when they first went on. Let them break in for a few hours just incase, but beating them when you get them installed shouldn't hurt them too much.

Start slapping on them as soon as you want to. For me thats right away !

Break in is once the suspension loosens up your subs get louder and sound better. It does not mean you need to take it easy on them.

Some manufacturers recommend a break in period, such as AQ, some don't. If there's no specified recommendation from the manufacturer I usually give it a good two or three seconds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
