are these subs any good ? how does it compare to re sx ? reason i'm askin is,i will be able to get credit at the local audio store.they dont have type x's and the only other one i was lookin at was the dd6.thoughts ?

D6s are excellent...I have used them in many configurations and

IMO are a great bang for the buck sub....

D6's are pretty nice. Nothing really stands out about them, but they're pretty stout, almost like a type-R. You can build a sealed box for it, but I'd go ported...

i'm downgrading.listening to the factory RF system in my eclipse made me want to go sealed.not looking for a loud setup.if i wanted loud via ported,i would keep my re sx and throw that in there but i want to save weight for performance of the car as well as have a lil room and still want to feel the bass in my chest.

Well, I can't comment on how it sounds sealed since I've only heard one ported. Think your local shop will let you listen to it in a sealed box? I'm sure they have a few boxes laying around...

got the d6 and sealed it up.i'll never go back to ported again.love the sound on sealed boxes.and this d6 is power hungry lol.
