Whats the pros and cons on using 13 ply? nice design. How much port area?

Birch is stronger and lighter but costs twice as much as MDF.

also, it's extremely nice to work with if you have plans to finish your box without carpeting. MDF is extremely hungry and eats paint like its going out of style

im loving photobucket...i use flock. i was kidding about the difficulty, and i get to keep my album.

how i was originally going to do this port, but it proved to be much more difficult, and i had to take it apart before the glue dried.

that is the inside (port side) poece, with a port wall attached to it. i am glad that i changed it up, as it becme much easier.

is the dual port thing just for looks? because if not you could've made a smaller single port and saved a lot of internal space with lower vent velocities...

still though, it looks like quality wood work...

its quite pimp the way it is because each port will be firing directly through the ports in my rear deck. this is mostly an SQ set-up by the way

and that kid bob, i looked ino it, because a single port would have been much easier, but im only losing a few cubic inches by doing it this way, so its really not going to make a difference. as far as the sound goes, it ont affect it at all.

to put this in perspective.....this box is going to sit up on the area where there is no carpet near the top of the photo. That area sits 5" above the floor of my trunk.

The rest of the trunk floor will be a false floor with the amps mounted below with plexi windows and some cool led lighting for the night show. On either side of the trunk, behind the wheel wells, there will be an extra battery. The batts will be hidden from view and the trunk will be nicely panelled up, alot like the Sound Werks Grand National
