Man, good to see this finally done. I'm starting to like those LVL 3's more and more. How would you compare them to the Type R's? I have a 12" R right now, and hopefully im gonna do something different this summer, 3's are on my list as a potential candidate.

Its funny how you say your truck doesn't hit lows anymore. However thats to your standards, seeing as you're used to 20hz, rather than the 30 most people that talk about "lows" are.

Okay, let me try to explain it better.
1st box was a ported box, designed as a ported box. It peaked in my vehicle at 29hz.

So, for kicks, we modeled that box as a 6th order (took in account the front chamber), and with the acoustics of my vehicle included, the math showed i would peak at 29hz, which it did.

SO, i wanted my vehicle to peak higher. We figured since when modeled as a 6th order, it correctly predicted my 29hz peak mathematicall, we took a reverse approach, said we wanted the box to peak at 35hz, and reverse modeled the design.

So yes, its not a 6th order, but we used the math behind a 6th order design along with the acoustical properties of my vehicle to create this box. I have no idea what the box is actually tuned to, but i do have a good idea of where it will peak in my vehicle

BTW, I meant no dumping, I just didn't understand. The final outcome looks really good.

They're fairly new, i put them on in august.

wow I believe this one came out so much better than the last. The color scheme blends a lot better and it seems like it performs much better as well. Are you still running the pioneers in the doors?
