~Project Avalanche~ Series 6th Order Bandpass Rebuild.

I did. it says hybrid6ht order. 6th order characteristics, blah blah blah. I see nothing about your enclosure that would give "characteristics of a 6th order BP. Looks like a ported enclosure to me.
This IS a series tuned 6th order. You are just looking at it wrong.

They flared baffles are just throwing you off. If they where parallel it would make more since. Like this:

As a matter of fact, alot of people look at blow-thru setups wrong. They put the subs in what they think is just a ported box, but when they build the blow-thru it creates a second ported chamber in front of the ported box. They to not take this into account and pretty much just end up guessing at the final outcome for response.

Oh, and gumbi...

Those #'s I originally gave you are likely going to be a little off. I plotted the box with a full open front, not with the restrictions of that trim panel you built. With that, the forward chamber is going to be tuned a little lower. Shouldn't really make much difference though, its was already plotted as a VERY high tuned chamber and you still have a large front "port".

yup, i understand this, thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Very nice. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Even though you mention it peaked higher than the Type Rs, seems to still kill the lower notes. DC FTW.

yeah, i guess i shouldnt have said it doesnt hit the lows. It definitely does, just not like the last setup did (the last setup peaked much lower than i wanted it to)

Got ya, I was thinking about doing (4) LVL 4 12s at some point, but ive notice alot of people getting good results from the LVL 3, might have to check them out, (plus they are cheaper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif)

I am thoroughly impressed with them so far. Like i said, they took a 35hz tone @ 800rms each for 4 minutes, took it fine. I havent had a chance to play them for extended periods of time other then that, but Rusty has got himself a **** nice sub here.
