programming a alarm remote

i had the clifford 2 way witht he lcd remote. it broke so i got the replacement without the lcd. the battery was low so i changed it now it wont work. i think it needes to be reprogramed. How do i do this. I think it has something to do witht he alet buttton

open the door, turn the key to ON within 5 secs press the valet button twice holding it the second time, then press the lock button on the remote. If you dont have remote start, then press it 8 times holding it on the 8th.

thanks alot. did it and now it is working fine,,,,i wonder y on the lcd remote i had i didnt have to reprogram it after changin the battery

odd... i thought that its the alarm that remembers the remote
