Problems with Type-X Components + Head Unit

I don't know what your problem is,but I don't for 1 minute believe it's a speaker wire problem like these guys are telling you
It might not be...right now. I sure as hell wouldn't be running such small gauge speaker wire with that kind of power. I'd be real nervous with the possible consequences.

He said he checked everything out and it was supposedly set correctly, but it is probably a sensitivity issue.

I fixed the bass issue, it was a stupid mistake on my part haha. We adjusted the gain today, and it's improved a good amount, but I still believe it should be better.

I'm going to rewire it with either 12 or 14 ga, we'll see how much that does to improve it.

I don't believe it is the facrtory wiring. Might be that you are not used to a soft dome tweeter. I had the type X's as well for awhile and just recently sould them because I could never get them to sound the way I wanted.

Deaden your doors to get decent midbass and swap out the deck for something a little better. Or it's something with your adjustments. They have a **** ton of them on the crossover, which is where I lost it. So took them out and they sat for a long time till I sold them.

I think I've tweaked the crossovers right (barring the DB changes, need to lower them a bit yet as it's too harsh).

Any good posts on what to use for deadening?

Definintely a gain issue. 2v preouts are not a problem. Higher voltage doesn't make the amp produce more power it only allows it to do make its normal power with a lower gain setting. If you aren't having noise issues, don't be afraid to turn the gains up to get the right power.

Will you post a picture if the LC2i as it is wired. How did you set the output gains of the LC2i? What is the max voltage gain input on the amplifier?
