Problem With Pioneer 880

I thought it may just be me but it seems 2 of the so called great hu's have been POS's I just got a bnib PIOneer p880prs and all i get out of the rcas is a Noise like someone trying to tune in a radio station on a 1904 am radio. what do you think is wrong? bad ground inside the radio? keep in mind when i switched to my other hu it worked perfect then i put the 880 back in and its just siren static noise. sooo i have a bad out of the box 8445 in ups limbo and a bad out of the box 880. I should have stuck with sony. my old mp70 is 5 years old and still working in my friends car.

haven't heard of this issue with the 880.

I had a problem like that with a 860 come to find out it was the illumination wire was hooked up to the wrong wire and screwed up the sound.

thanks but all i am using is blk,yellow,red,blue. all rcas outputs.

pioneer has me sending it to SC so i guess tis is another hu out for repair.

yea i just got the 780..have the same problem with the rca outputs..

then the display went out, its in service now

o yea..if u still have your unit, try using a noise filter. As long as it doesnt effect performance. My problem was that i never needed one, but if u need one try it.

i dont think i an explaining the noise correctly,no filter could do anything about this noise

I thought pioneer fixed the ground loop thing on their new decks?

this is not like alt noise or the whine we all know about this is a shreeking piercing eeeeeeekkk sheeeeeesssssseeeeeeeeekkk that is not affected by volume...it is just as soon as the hu turns on...

WTF ??? My friend is an installer for a Premier dealear and I haven't heard of any problems with the the new line of hu's. I'll talk to him today and see if he knows anything.

Well I just got my 880 in today...YAY!!!

I hope all goes well when i install it here in a few minutes.

no one has heard of this issue,no one ever heard of the trouble i had with my 8445 either. i hope i get an hu that works sooner or later
