problem with my amp

I was plugging my amp up with my new speakers and i took my inline fuse out, incase my ground and power wire touched it would not fry, when i my hooked all the wires into the amp and put my inline fuse back, all 3 fuses in teh amp blew, so i tried it again and the same thing happened, any clue as to why it would fry the fuses in the amp? The ground and power wire are not touching, the only thing i could think of, could it have something to do with the level that the amp is on? I didnt realize it until i had no more fuses left, but the amp was turned all the way up, If you have any clue e-mail me at leftynmiddle02@charter.net

What size power and ground wires are you using? What are you grounded to to? Did you have any subs hooked up to it at the time? If yes, what wiring configuration did you use and how many ohms are the subs? Did you turn the HU on as to start playing music? What size are the 4 fuses? Answering these questions will help us get a better picture of what the problem may be.

Sounds like you have the positive and negative post backwards on your amp. I have done this before, and as soon as I connect the inline fuse... they all go pop! hahha

Took me 2 tries to figure it out. That was a while back. Anyways.. if thats not it, make sure you dont have a stray wire touching eachother, or the final option is that your amp is shot (probably not).
