Ok so in my battery I only have the + connected. There is nothing connected to negative battery terminal. I then connect the negative of my PG xenon 200.2 amp to the negative of the battery negative terminal and my alarm goes off. The + of the amp isn't even connected, its like the amp itself is acting like a battery. How is this possible and what is wrong ??

What amp? When I disconnected my amp I was still getting a 12v+ reading from the terminals because of the capacitors inside. If its a big enough amp with big enough capacitors, then its possible that will happen.

Whenever messing with the wiring on an amp, always remove the in line fuse.

THe amp is a phoenix gold xenon 200.2

so is this normal, the alarm can go off because its getting power from the capacitors inside the amp?
