Ok so I just hooked my system yesterday and it sounds great when I play cds but when I play the radio it doesn't hit nearly as hard. Is this a problem?

No, just turn it up. Some players have a higher gain on the CD/ the CD audio has a stronger signal. Mine does this as well. Kind of a pain when you switch back and forth, but otherwise a minor inconvienience.
