Premier TS-W5000SPL Setup Help

Heres the spec from Pioneer,ported enclosure,2.0cu.ft with a 4" port which is 8.25" in length.Great for both both and spl!For extreme spl purposes though,u need a box which a total of 19cubes n has a 12"x12" port!!I work at a car audio shop.Sounds Ltd is the name

so my plan is to get this amp: JBL BPX2200.1

This is in my budget also my old amp was the MTX: MTX Audio Thunder1501D.

No need to inform me on the specs of the JBL amps.Im an official JBL dealer,busy building my Golf 4 with a full JBL GTi system!!Go for the JBL amp you wont make a mistake!!That amp can run any 120volt appliance with a 60hz sine wave input!!Its got some mega power!!

The Pioneer is comming in Monday. I will be running 1 Pioneer W5000spl. Looking at a Length of 34" and Height of 14"

Hello guys,

I am using the MTX Audio Thunder1501D amp and 4guage wires.

I made the box the Subwoofer is not loud what can be wrong..?

MY W7 13.5 was louder and the gain was only 30% up.

To bump this sub I need the gain all the way up 100%..

DO NOT USE THE GAIN CONTROL AS A SUBWOOFER VOLUME SETTING!

the gain setting tells the amp the amount of voltage your head unit is sending to the amplifier. set it to your h/u's preamp voltage, and leave it alone.

Check out your h/u and see if you might have accidentally turned a setting down, or maybe your h/u's equalizer. Check your wiring, maybe your wired it in series rather than in parallel. Just double check everything.

on the mtx it has "2 channels" l-r + - + -

just hook the wires from the sub to the amp at left ch 1 + and right ch -

I have one 12 Premier TS-W5000SPL and I want to put it in a 2004 yukon and can some one tell me the sizes to make a ported box and how big to make the box and can i run a mtx 1501d 1500whtts amp to run the pioneer??
