Premier TS-W5000SPL Setup Help

Hey guys,

I wanna get two Premier TS-W5000SPL for my civic.

The question is before I had a JLW7 13.5 the box dimensions were

35.5" Length

13" Width (needs at least 2 inches by the sub)

16" tall

this box was a perfect fit for my civic. I was wondering If I get a similar box like this can I put two 12s at the back instead of one in a similar box.

According to Pioneer you need 1.5 Cu ft per 12 so I would say yes you could but squeak and some others can tell you better.

I was going to use it for every day use and spl.

how you like yours Xplod? I saw the pictures they look crazy.

How heavy are they??

H= 18.8 inch

using 3/4" MDF

1 Top, 1 bottom : 12.2 X 29.5 inch

1 front, 1 back : 17.31 X 28 inch

2 sides, : 17.31 X 12.2 inch

divide equally to match 1.5 cuft per sub.

i got TS-W2000SPL single sub, in a sealed box, its hittin hard but doesnt peak @ higher frequencies, example (make it clap- busta rhymes) it doesnt produce the peaks in that song, so am goin ported,

i sugest you single TS-W5000SPL in ported, better than 2 in sealed.

yea I was thinking getting a ported box not a Sealed. Since I would have two TS-W5000SPL it would be better to have a ported box.

These subs weigh in at 31.3 kgs,may not sound like a lot but ****!!My 1st enclosure in my van was a massive 8cubes and it was a slot vent type!!They worked beautifully in there(surprizingly).Im using a 4,5cube ported box now(strictly spl),like the pic shows,with a 12" port which is 12" long.Gettin a good 153db so far with 2000w rms per sub,but they can handle a lot more.These **** things dont even warm up after some serious torture.Pioneer however have launched an vented enclosure for the sub,its on their site.Apparently it works great for both music and spl!I've got 2 on order,just have to wait and see for myself if it works.

Oh and another thing as you can see,I've been playin around with boxes for quite some time now,like a year now,and believe me,if you dont build it right it gonna break!!Jus for fun sake,I took a normal cheapskate chipboard ported box and tried them in there,what a bad idea!The box exploded the 1st time we burped the subs!!

Got a mad scientist freak buddy who designs amps!!Actually anything electronic.Done a design on this amp now which delivers 2000w rms at 2 ohms 14.4v.Im currently running them at 17.8v so I havnt yet checked the rms values on the bench again.He reckons dis thing can run with 22volts input!!Scary stuff man,I aint attemptin it!!I'll take some pics and upload them soon.Oh yes and these amps can be run with a master ans slave config!!1st time we tried it the top of the box broke!!

what would be a good box for these pionners.

I want to run two of these 5000spl.

Also my trunk length is around 34inch.

Height is about 13inch.

Width about 16inch.

Heres the spec from Pioneer,ported enclosure,2.0cu.ft with a 4" port which is 8.25" in length.Great for both both and spl!For extreme spl purposes though,u need a box which a total of 19cubes n has a 12"x12" port!!I work at a car audio shop.Sounds Ltd is the name
