pre-out voltage: 2 vs. 4 vs. 5 vs. 6.5

Ok guys can someone explain the pros and cons of getting and HU with higher voltage pre-outs? I never really wanted to get a deck with lower then 4v, but I found this older JVC that has all the features I want except it has 2v outs. So what are the main differences, and should I just stick with 4v and above?

As discussed a million times....

Only advantage to having a higher preout voltage is that it allows you to set the gains on your amplifier lower, possibly decreasing noise. If you have no noise in your system with a 2V deck, then having a higher voltage is not going to help you any.

That's it. That's all. There's the differences.

Frankly, having a low preout impedance is more important than the preout voltage.

just gop with the 2 volt deck if that is the one you like. higher voltage doesn't make your music sound better or louder, just set your gains properly and you'll be set.
no... thats not true, it may be diffrent in your setup but i know that higher voltage on the HU gives a cleaner and does increase response from say a SUB preout....ive gone from a 2V to a 4v and noticed a world of diffrence but thats just my experience maybe in your case it didnt seem to be too much diffrence.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
