Power wire how long between cap/amp?

What should be the distance between a 1.0 farad capacitor and an amplifier in terms of the length of the power/ground wire?

My current setup is:

JBL BP600.1 Mono Amplifier

4 gauge power wires

PowerAmper Xpower 1.0 farad digital capacitor

(2) Stinger HPM Platinum plated ring terminals

just bought a cap it is a mere 5.5 inches away from the amp it has 4 gauge cable on it
